Omnilux Clear is the most powerful medical-grade, home LED treatment available for acne-prone skin. It’s been tested, proven, and backed by peer-reviewed science, all to ensure the best possible outcomes and performance.
We use the most clinically effective LEDs available, optimized for superior results. Omnilux 415nm Blue light targets and stops P. acnes proliferation, and kills P. acnes bacteria living on the skin’s surface. The 633nm Red light penetrates the dermis, triggering the body’s own natural healing response, including the production of new collagen, the deregulation of excess oils, and the reduction of inflammation and redness.

We recommend four 10-minute treatments each week for 6 weeks. Once the initial series is complete, use the device at the earliest signs of a breakout.
Combine with your favourite skincare or most popular aesthetic treatments for optimal results.
Acne-causing bacteria (P. acne) colonize in the skin’s pores causing the inflammation and redness of the skin. P.acnes produces porphyrins, natural chemicals which are sensitive to the specific light wavelengths (blue and red) provided by Omnilux Clear.
* People with a predisposition to pigmentation or photosensitivity and people with darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick Scale types IV, V and VI) may experience transient pigmentation with blue light therapy. This is often short lived and often resolves on its own with discontinued use. If there are any concerns, we recommend consulting your dermatologist or professional skincare provider.
Omnilux Clear significantly reduces the duration of current breakouts when used at the first sign of a breakout. Data also suggests that blue and red light therapy helps prevent future breakouts.
Yes, hormonal acne triggered by hormonal changes is still considered acne vulgaris. The bacteria that triggers inflammation and breakouts is P.acnes, which will respond to blue and red light, therefore Clear may help with hormonal acne vulgaris.
The Omnilux Clear is intended to treat mild to moderate acne vulgaris of the face. It is NOT indicated for severe acne. Please consult your physician for a more appropriate treatment.Â
No, the Clear device is equipped with wavelengths for the treatment of acne only. Using the Clear device is not recommended for treating fine lines and wrinkles. If your skin concerns are fine lines and wrinkles, we recommend using the Omnilux Contour instead.
Omnilux Clear may help to reduce the chances of scarring and may soften the appearance of acne scarring. Clear will not soften the appearance of atrophic scars.
There is ample evidence that red light therapy (embedded in the Omnilux Clear and Omnilux Contour) will help reduce the appearance of pore size.
For users taking prescriptive levels of Retin A such as Tretinoin/Isotretinoin, we do not recommend the use of light devices. Retin A should be discontinued for at least 5 days before performing light therapy treatments. Those using cosmetics/skincare products containing retinol should read the skincare instructions carefully for warnings and precautions in relation to exposure to light.
We do not recommend the use of light therapy devices while on Isotretinoin drugs. Isotretinoin should be discontinued for at least 5 days before performing light therapy treatments. If you are unsure, please consult your prescribing physician. For our full list of contraindications please enquire within.
You can continue to use a salicylic gel or face wash as part of your acne regime, however it is important that your skin is fully cleansed before each Omnilux Clear treatment.
In addition, those using skincare products containing salicylic acid should read the skincare instructions carefully for any warnings and precautions in relation to light exposure. If you are unsure if your skincare products are compatible with light therapy, please consult your dermatologist or physician prior to using Omnilux Clear with salicylic acid products. Do not apply any products to your skin prior to LED treatment.

Omnilux Clear is compatible with most skin care routines, however we do not recommend using the Clear in conjunction with isotretinoin drugs (e.g. Accutane/Roaccutane) or retinol products.
We recommend speaking with your prescribing physician before using the Omnilux Clear with prescription products.
The best thing is to complete treatments with a bare face. You don’t want to create a barrier between your skin and the light. Products could impact the amount of light reaching the skin and reduce effectiveness, or possibly cause a skin reaction or damage the Clear device itself.
You may use toner before and your regular skincare after the Clear treatment.
No. Clear has not been studied for this application. Therefore, we can only recommend using your device 4 times per week for 6 weeks. Once the initial 6-week treatment is complete, you can use Omnilux Clear at the earliest signs of a breakout.Â
Our products have not been studied in pregnant or breastfeeding women, so we advise against using it during this time. Red light therapy is very safe overall but because we do not have enough information about use while pregnant or breastfeeding we recommend not using unless approved by your doctor.
The Omnilux Clear can be used from 14+ years old.
Everyone’s skin varies so there may be users who notice they still have breakouts after Week 6. We recommend you stop using the device for a couple of weeks to give your skin a break before you start treatments again.
